Michael joined Brown & Partners LLP in February of 2017 after having been called to the Ontario Bar in 2015 and starting his career with an Insurance Defence Firm in Toronto.

Michael obtained an honours degree in Criminology and Justice from UOIT in 2011, an LL.B overseas at the University of Kent in 2013 followed by his completion of an LL.M from Osgoode Hall Law School specializing in Canadian Common Law in 2014.

Michael’s insurance defence practice focusses on a variety of tort defence matters including motor vehicle accidents, occupiers’ liability and construction/property damage disputes as well as representing insurers in Accident Benefits claims.

In his early career, Michael has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice for a variety of motions as sole counsel and has experience as second chair counsel in multiple trials including Mandel v Fakhim, 2016 ONSC 6538 (CanLII), http://canlii.ca/t/gv6pd.

Michael is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and Canadian Defence Lawyers.
