Articling

Brown & Partners offer an articling program to provide a program that mentors, trains and educates young students-at-law to prepare them for private practice, and an opportunity for both the student and the law firm to consider the possibilities of future employment.

The Firm provides practical training for students-at-law to see experienced counsel conduct trials, arbitrations, pre-hearings, pre-trials, mediations and examinations for discovery. The training also provides practical experience for students-at-law to prepare and attend on motions, prepare Affidavits of Documents and conduct legal research and all other aspects of the handling of a file.

Senior associates of the firm conduct “lunch and learn” seminars on a regular basis which include discussions regarding new law, amendments to the various Acts and Regulations as well as new procedures that must be followed when handling files on behalf of clients.

Brown & Partners also offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

At the end of their articles, the students generally consider themselves to have had a very sound, practical experience in litigation.

Please forward applications to Ms. Maggie Stubbs ([email protected]).  Only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
